ITMO University has several dormitories at its disposal, all conveniently located either within the limits of its "student town" or next to the metro stations in St. Petersburg. All campuses of ITMO University are also located within walking distance to the metro stations. 


Once you are officially an ITMO University student you are entitled to use the services of the healthcare clinic located at the main campus of ITMO University - Kronverksky ave, 49. Some of the services include first aid, treatment of a variety of acute illnesses, minor injuries and burns, vaccinations, preventive medicine. The doctor can also make referrals to specialists.

The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9 am till 3 pm. If you are feeling acutely sick and unable to go to class, please visit the doctor till noon to receive a medical excuse note. 



Students and staff are welcome to use sporting facilities on Vyazemski Pereulok, 5/7 free of charge. The sports center consists of a full-size basketball court, a gym with a variety of workout equipment and a climbing wall.

ITMO University also has a Student Sports Club “Kronbars,” which unites over 20 sports teams, ranging from basketball and soccer to table tennis and cheerleading. It also offers access to individual sports such as yoga and swimming at various facilities around town.

Social Life and Arts

Whatever your talent, let it shine at ITMO. From several singing groups to dance studios, an anime group, an online radio and television stations to GameCrunch Club, where students develop new games, you are certain to find “your people”.


ITMO University regularly holds volunteering events with local non-profit organizations and charities.

One of the most successful projects is the annual “People Need You” competition developed in collaboration with University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and with support from of Committee on social policy of St. PetersburgNational fund of trainingKind City of St. Petersburg fund and charitable society "Nevsky Angel" . This multi-university event brings together student teams that have an idea for a socially important project. As part of the competition, they receive training in project and non-profit management and realize their projects for the betterment of the community.

International Students Council

ITMO University’s International Student Council unites and represents the university’s diverse international community. Its goal is to serve as a platform for ensure communication and collaboration between international students, the university and the St. Petersburg community.
