ITMO University Department of Innovations was created to help researchers collaborate with industry and government as well as launch their own startups. The department provides a variety of services, including:

Mission of ITMO University Department of Innovations

We understand our core business is the business of knowledge and learning, but of equal importance is our mission to provide competitive advantage and development for Russian economy and social sphere on the basis of our entrepreneurial approach to scientific, educational and innovation activities in information and optics technologies. Our university, being among the most important research universities in Russia, is an indespensable component of Russian innovation economy. We nurture both a culture of new venture creation and an infrastructure that will support many new ventures. The most important objective of the innovation ecosystem at University ITMO is achieving a high level of entrepreneurial culture and availability of a favorable environment for the implementation of entrepreneurial skills of students and university staff.

Who we are

A favorable business environment that promotes the generation and implementation of new projects in different areas is  available in the first place due to the widely available material resources in our innovation infrastructure for university teams, including: the startup accelerator, two business incubators, technology park, technology transfer centre, Center for the promotion of youth innovation and technological entrepreneurship.
