Biography

Mikhail Kurushkin was born in St. Petersburg (Leningrad) in 1990. In 2007, Mikhail finished the school № 61 with an in-depth study of the English language.

In 2012, he graduated from Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU)  with a degree in nanomaterials.

In 2012, he entered a PhD program at SPbPU and studied general and inorganic chemistry. He received his PhD degree in inorganic chemistry in 2016. In 2017, Mikhail became an associate professor at SPbPU and received the title of International Engineering Educator ING.PAED.IGIP.

In 2018, he was an associate professor – and then full associate professor at ITMO University.

In 2018-2019, he initiated and organized together with his students the international Mendeleev 150 conference.

Since August 25, 2020, Mikhail Kurushkin has been a dean of ITMO University’s Faculty of Biotechnologies.
