The Center will be situated in the University ITMO. Its main objective is to coordinate work on projects developed in the University. Afterwards the projects will be sent to the IT-cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation, where an expert commission will examine them and decide about their future prospects. If the commission approves the project, the developers will incorporate into a small innovative enterprise under the guidance of the University, which acquires the Foundation residency status. Only after that the projects will be able to claim the Skolkovo grants.

Collaboration of the University and the Skolkovo Foundation suggests not only grant support provided by the IT-cluster “Skolkovo”. The Foundation is also interested in recruitment of investors.
