Biography

Career

Ekaterina Tulugurova began her academic career in 2005 at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University. She studied and conducted research at Aalto University and Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland), as well as the University of Reading (the UK). Since 2009, Ekaterina Tulugurova has been working in the field of internationalization of higher education and international relations. She has received and executed grants by major international organizations in the field of intellectual resources management. 

In 2014, Ekaterina Tulugurova joined ITMO University as the head of the  International Educational Programs Department.

Responsibilities

  • develop new partnerships with international universities;

  • implement student academic mobility programs;

  • attract international students and welcome international delegations;

  • represent ITMO University at international events.

Research

Ekaterina Tulugurova’s research projects include:

  • management of intellectual resources at small and medium innovation enterprises;

  • impact of informal online communities on solving high complexity tasks;

  • management of dynamic capabilities of enterprises.

She has a number of papers indexed by the Higher Attestation Commission, Russian Science Citation Index, and Web of Science.

  • Innovation Processes at Industrial Enterprises;

  • Innovation Management;

  • Project Management;

  • Social and Economic Matters in Russia.

Professional interests

Internationalization of higher education, innovation in education, and knowledge management. 

Awards

  • Award “For Fidelity to Science” from the Russian Union of Young Scientists.
