Biography

Education 

In 1994, Dr. Lyamin graduated from ITMO University with a degree in automation and control in technical systems. In 1997, he defended his PhD thesis "Analysis of mathematical models of wheeled robots and synthesis of contour control algorithms".

From 1997 to 2001, he worked as an Associate Professor of the Department of Control Systems and Informatics, and head of the Department of Organizational and Methodological Support of the Distance Learning Center. From 2001 to the present he is the Director of the Distance Learning Center and Associate Professor of the Faculty of Software Engineering and Computer Systems.

Area of scientific interests 

Automated systems of information processing and control in science and education. Dr. Lyamin is the author of more than 110 scientific and methodological works.

Since 2001, he has managed or participated in a large number of projects: 

• "Development of technologies for testing students in a typical information environment of the University" (2001-2002); 

• "Creating a universal environment for online electronic textbooks and workshops" (2001-2002); 

• "Development of a network information and training system" (2001-2002); 

• "Network information and educational system between universities" (2002);

• "Development of a list of training programs based on a set of necessary competencies of civil servants and employees of budgetary organizations in the field of ICT" (2003). 

• "Development and testing of variably modular training programs for advanced training and professional retraining of personnel in the field of information and telecommunication technologies for ensuring and organizing the educational process" (2004), etc.

In 2009, he was awarded the prize of the Government of Saint Petersburg for outstanding achievements in the field of higher and secondary professional education, in the "development of innovative activities in an educational institution" category.
