Applications are now accepted for StartUp Cup, the second federal Cup of business models. International program of promotion and development of business will be held in several cities in Russia. The cup will consist of several stages, during which budding businessmen led by mentors and experts will create their own business projects and check their viability in the real world. 

The StartUp Cup 2014 will last for five months and will finish in November 2014, when the finalists will present results of their work in the form of ready business projects to experts and investors. Winners will receive prizes, investments from venture capital funds, as well as the opportunity to participate in the StartUp Cup World in 2014 as Russian representatives.

During the seven years of work at the international level in StartUp Cup over three and a half thousand people have passed the training, about four hundred companies were created, most of which continues to evolve.

In Russia, the StartUp Cup competition was held for the first time in 2013 and has attracted great interest among the business community, experts in the field of startups. The program offers the opportunity to develop and implement business projects, as well as to increase the likelihood of generating income and to organize the competitive company of any type.

This year's competition will take place simultaneously in several cities: not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but also in Ekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara, Perm, Kazan and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The organizers and partners of the competition are: the company AAA TRUST, the Center for Development and Entrepreneurship Support, "RVC", as well as the ITMO University, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Ural Federal University, the Business Incubator "Polytechnic" and a number of investment companies.

Feature of the StartUp Cup is to attract successful business practitioners, which advise participants on effective organization of the company and building a productive business model. This year the program will be attended by leading Russian businessmen: Igor Dubinnikov, Denis Kotov, Olga Novgorodskaya, Sergey Fradkov, Mikhail Podgaets and others.

As the organizer of the StartUp Cup in Russia Vyacheslav Makovich noted, in StartUpCup aspiring entrepreneurs receive support from mentors and experts of the project, as well as an opportunity to show themselves in the business community: "Not those who have prepared the unimprovable documents win, but those who have demonstrated the ability to check their ideas and turn them into business and transform the business models taking into account the customer information and expert commentaries of the project". The organizers are confident that this approach will allow participants to build their own company and implement bold ideas in the field of entrepreneurship.
