GEEK PICNIC Festival

Description

GEEK PICNIC is one of the largest popular science festivals in Russia. For the fifth time, it will bring together the geek culture fans. 

Some of the activities include:

- "Robot Park" and drone show

- 3D printing zone

- Art installation with popular artists

- Music experimentation zone with concerts by Victoria Modesta, cyborg -musician James Barnes and Russian and foreign geek musicians

- Master classes in robotics

Especially for the participants of the event, ITMO University is organizing lectures with breakthrough scientists and experts, including the developer of Power Foot BiOm Hugh  Herr with MIT, neurobiologist and neuroengineer Randal Koene, scientist and author of "Body by Design" Natasha Vita -More, and physicist and one of the organizers of World Science Festival Brian Greene. 

The University will also showcase a "Smart Home," where innovative technologies and robots bring maximum comfort to humans' life.
