The Chair is currently headed by the Dr. Sci. Tech., Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Science, Laureate of the Lenin Prize, Prof. V. G. Peshehonov. Prof. V.G. Peshehonov is also a director of the Russian State Scientific Center - Research Institute ElectroInstrument, he is a supervisor and principal designer of numerous projects in the area of the naval instrument-making. Prof. V.G. Peshehonov has published more than 100 papers and articles, he is a member of the Scientific Council at the Russian Academy of Science for navigational problems, a Chairman of the Academy Section of independent navigation and sensor systems.
