The Chair Secure Information Technology (SIT (rus.BIT)) provides training specialists for a specialty Management and Technology of Information Security”, bachelors and masters for the direction "Information Security".
Wide profile of trainings, knowledge of methods of information security supporting and information security services, practical skills of working with modern hardware, software and complex data protection allow graduates to find employment in the department of industrial enterprises, in units of information security, in researching and innovative organizations, as well as in commercial structures.
Graduates of the department are working in the Federal Agency of Technical and Export Control (FATEK (rus. FSTEC)), Kaspersky Lab, Dr.WEB companies, specialized companies in the development and application of integrated information security systems "Eureka", GazInformServis, etc.
Partners of the Department are Voentelekom public corporation, St. Petersburg Institute of Informatic and Automation, Military Academy of the General headquarters of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation, A.F. - Methods for identifying users in the Internet.
- Methods for constructing intrusion detection systems.
- Methods of designing cryptographic computer systems those are resistant to current types of attacks.
