The Chair prepares engineers specializing in the Design and Production of the Electronic Computing Devices for the enterprises and companies developing electronic computing equipment - components and mechanisms and other electronic systems.
Graduates are widely educated specialists trained in research, development, design and production of the electronic computing equipment of various types, their mechanisms and components.
Students study three major fields:
- Design (the students study fundamentally device and computer design);
- Systems of the automated design (students gain qualification in the basic methods of the electronic systems automated design using the latest software and technologies);
- Microelectronics (concerning the manufacturing technology of the hybrid microcircuits and semi-conductor integrated circuits).
The students gain skills using modern computer systems starting from their design and working through to production. At all stages the students have access to department laboratories and computer workrooms and gain mastery during work placements in the computer industry.
