The activities of the Chair aims at training and skills development in the field of computer programming and special training in the areas of information technology and computer systems of videomatics.

VIDEOMATICS is a computer science, focused on the formation, transmission and processing of information provided in the form of images.

Images are the most informative. Share of information per image increased markedly due to the considerable expansion of the information storage capacity and bandwidth of communication channels in the total amount of information stored and transmitted in the information and telecommunication systems.

Technology of videomatics are becoming more popular in such areas as security systems, computer vision, biomedical diagnostics. Modern technology of videomatics are integrated with computer-based technologies and software - from the formation prior to analysis, classification and pattern recognition - with the assistance of effective mathematical techniques and high-performance computing algorithms for processing information.
